Introduction of DC4EU During the 107th Technical Commission Meeting

The 107th Technical Commission meeting on social security coordination, which took place in Brussels on February 18-19, 2025, was a key moment for DC4EU to present their work within their domain. A key highlight was the introduction of the DC4EU project, which included a showcase of the demo wallet and live testing of digital social security credential issuance and verification processes.

The meeting featured insightful keynotes that explored various aspects of the DC4EU initiative. Discussions covered legal advancements in #electronicidentification and trustservices, emphasizing their potential to empower public services across Europe. Additionally, a technical blueprint for digital credentials was unveiled, highlighting its impact on national social security systems and the importance of interoperability and security. Participants were provided with informational material on setting up the DC4EU demo wallet, and credentials such as PID, EHIC, and PDA1 were issued using synthetic data.
