DC4EU Paris workshop on issuance architecture, trust frameworks, and large-scale piloting initiatives.

On November 21-22, 2024, we welcomed about 100 participants to our DC4EU workshop in Paris hosted by Groupe Caisse des Dépôts assisted by the Centre of European and International Liaisons for Social Security (Cleiss), with 80 attending in person and 20 joining remotely. The agenda was packed with insightful discussions on the French social security system, the National Wallet, and key topics like issuance architecture, trust frameworks, and large-scale piloting initiatives.

One of the standout features of the workshop was the interactive session on piloting architecture. This session provided a dynamic platform for participants to delve into the complexities of implementing large-scale piloting (LSP) initiatives. Attendees engaged in hands-on activities that encouraged collaboration and brainstorming around architectural options for piloting the issuing, revocation, delegation and verification of electronic attestations of attributes (#EAA) issued by or on behalf of public bodies (#PUBEAA) such as competent social security coordination institutions.

Led by experts, the session included a showcase of authentic sources and a pick-up demonstration, allowing participants to visualize the practical applications of the discussed concepts. The interactive format fostered lively discussions, enabling participants to share their experiences and insights on piloting strategies, challenges, and best practices.

This collaborative environment not only enhanced understanding but also sparked innovative ideas for future projects. The feedback from participants highlighted the value of this interactive approach, emphasizing how it facilitated deeper connections and knowledge sharing among peers.
