DC4EU’s WP5 Host Piloting Agents Workshop in Oslo

Work Package 5 from Digital Credentials for Europe (DC4EU) recently hosted a productive workshop in Oslo. This two-day event convened key stakeholders to advance governance, technical frameworks, and piloting processes for the issuance, recognition, and verification of educational and professional qualifications across borders. Discussions focused on innovative tools and concepts, such as Electronic Attestations of Attributes (EAAs) at the sectoral level, to streamline credentialing processes in alignment with European Union policies.

On November 21-22, 2024, we welcomed about 100 participants to our DC4EU workshop in Paris hosted by Groupe Caisse des Dépôts assisted by the Centre of European and International Liaisons for Social Security (Cleiss), with 80 attending in person and 20 joining remotely. The agenda was packed with insightful discussions on the French social security system, the National Wallet, and key topics like issuance architecture, trust frameworks, and large-scale piloting initiatives. One of the standout features of the workshop was the interactive session on piloting architecture.

DC4EU Social Security Use Cases: John and Emma using the EUDI wallet abroad

DC4EU WP6 is piloting the issuing, revocation, delegation and verification of Electronic Attestations of Attributes issues by or on behalf of public bodies.
This is an important part of DC4EU’s work to make the verification process for social security streamlined and fully digital, leveraging the EUDI Wallet and the eIDAS 2.0 framework to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance. Rigorous testing and piloting ensure a smooth transition to digital attestations and identity verification.
